Historia De Un Amor

Written in 1955, this bolero is possibly the most famous love song from Panama, often considered its "Romantic Hymn". Bolero lyrics often talk about the suffering of love.

This is one of my all time favorites. It is really touching, especially when you're the one who got hit hard.

There are two version of the song. One is a male singer version, another one is female. They actually have different feelings...

You're no longer by my side, my love, and in my soul I have only loneliness, that now I cannot see you, because God made me love you, to make me suffer more (Carlos Eleta Almaran)

Apagandola despues
Ay que vida tan obscura
Sin tu amor no vivire.

You are no longer by my side, my love,
And in my soul I have only loneliness,
that now I cannot see you,
Because god made me love you,
To make me suffer more.

You were the reason for my existence.
Adoring you, for me, was religion.
In your kisses I've waited,
For the warmth given me,
By love and passion.

That's the history of a love.
Which has no equal,
that made me understand,
All that's good, all that's bad,

That gave light to my life,
Then turned it off.
Oh what a dark life.
Without your love I will not live.

Thats the history of my love.
