Heads gonna roll for this. Condolences for victim's family.

How would the most powerful and richest nation in the world allow their citizen to die under under-maintained and unreliable public infrastructure?

That's a good question to ask. I wish this won't happen in Canada...oh wait, it already happened in Quebec! ^$%&^#%^&

In some way, the Taliban and the Koreans are the same -- they both believe in something so much that they are willing to put themselves at risk.

The difference is, one is willing to take others lives, the other one is willing to give their own lives for others.

We can see the differences of the religion here I guess...

The internet is ruthless. For the past few years we've already been through myspace, friendster, etc...all these social networking web apps.

If anyone can develop an application who can automatically move your friends between these freaking web apps, that will be super...

Or, as the article say, if Facebook became THE GOOGLE of social networking apps, then we can stop searching and moving again every 6 months. Which is a good thing.

Oh wait...why don't I put this on my W A L L!

1.News of the day

I like having multiple wives. Hell, its a man's dream/nightmare. But killing these people just for that?

They were not on a missionary mission. They were coming to volunteering for providing only medical and other volunteer aid to distressed people in your war-ravaged country.

I can tell you that, if you kill these people, S.Korea will sent their best marines to come hunt you down and cut your heads and limbs off.

They are not Japanese, nor they are Chinese. The are hot-blooded Koreans. If they can commit Hara-Kiri, cover themselves with bees, cut their own fingers off to protest against their government policies towards Japan, imagine what they will DO TO YOU if you kill their young sons and daughters who came to help you with good intentions.

They will make you say "Allāhu Akbar" with your tongue cut off ... and your OWN head on your laps!

But who cares about some remote place in the pacific under 1,600m? GREENPEACE don't have the sub to go protest there...

There are six rules you need to consider before you blow yourself up.

Rule No. 1: You can kill bystanders without feeling a lot of guilt.

Rule No. 3: Sometimes, you can single out civilians for killing; bankers are an example.
Rule No. 4: You cannot kill in the country where you reside unless you were born there.
Rule No. 5: You can lie or hide your religion if you do this for jihad.

The Spy Who Shagged Me
After using nuclear substance (polonium210) to kill a guy who criticizes you, what do you get? Bad press?

No! In mother Russia, where cars drive you, you don't get murdered by polonium210.

In mother Russia, Polonium eats you. Whether you die or not, its up to god...but there is no god.

Anyway, after all these years, the cold war is over and the West is no longer an enemy but, as far as you can tell, it is no friend.

I like this paragraph,

"Many years ago, when I first came to work in Moscow, a political pundit close to the Kremlin told me that the problem between Russia and the West is that Russians are white.

“We look like you. We look like Europeans and so the West expects us to think and act like you. As a result, when we don’t you get all upset. Why can’t they be like us, you fret. But you don’t say that about the Chinese, for instance. You don’t expect them to think and act like you. Well, we are white but we are different.”

The Economist is a great magazine. No one knows who wrote the article, yet all the articles somehow gives a coherent thinking mode on world issues that is not conflicting at all. (At least thats from MY reading experience)

It is interesting that Japan is the subject of comparison when trying to look back in history for similar instance where American supremacy is being challenged by another foreign country.

A democratic capitalism vs a one party state "capitalism" - 19th century style one where workers be damed, environment be damned, morals be damned and get rich is glorious.

I hope the history don't repeat itself 'cause 100million of angry stock holders may cause a very big harmonic noise of "TMD", and that won't be a harmonic society anymore.

1.News of the day

Kyoto Protocol gonna kick my ass - my fellow Canadian asses!
So our Environment Minister gave us this study, which forecasts immediate and far-reaching impacts on Canadians and the economy including:

- 275,000 Canadians would lose their job by 2009
- The cost of electricity bills would jump 50% after 2010
- The cost of filling up a car would jump 60%
- The cost of heating a home by natural gas would double

IF WE EVEN TRY TO FOLLOW WHAT WE SAID WE WILL DO. This is indeed very scary. So, if we do nothing about Global Climate change, we can finally have more than 6 months of summer while the rest of the world dies?

For lazy ass Canadians like me, this maybe the best option ever happened. I am so sick of it, but I do enjoy the warm braze in April!!!

So much for the second amendment, which saids:

Anyway, if you are interested and want to get a piece of a glorious past, please send mail to aidonmei123@sina.com.

2.Quote of the day
"I know the pain war causes. I understand the frustration caused by our mistakes in this war. I sympathize with the fatigue of the American people. And I regret sincerely the additional sacrifices imposed on the brave Americans who defend us. But I also know the toll a lost war takes on an army and a country...This is an historic choice, with ramifications for Americans not even born yet. Let's put aside for a moment the small politics of the day. The judgment of history should be the approval we seek, not the temporary favor of the latest public opinion poll."

-Senator John McCain, April 11, 2007, on Iraq

3.Article of the day
John McCain Speech on Iraq, April 11, 2007
I totally respect this guy. I may not agree with some of his political agenda, but I do respect his personal integrity and grace under extreme hardship.

What hardship you say? How about Hanoi Hilton back in the Vietnam war...and yes, he is older than G. W. Bush if he got elected...so what!

If you want to know more about him, get the wikipedia entry for a quick one.

Oh and in the speech, theres ONE TOUGH guy:

"In closing, I'd like to bring to your attention the gallantry and patriotism of one American who served with distinction in Iraq, a Navy SEAL, who refuses to quit his mission and let the country he loves so well suffer the terrible harm our defeat would entail. A few days ago, Petty Officer First Class Mark Robbins' unit was ambushed outside Baghdad. During the ensuing firefight, he spotted an insurgent with an RPG, and immediately stepped out from cover and exposed himself to enemy fire to take out the terrorist before he could fire. He saved the lives of his comrades, but was gravely wounded as he did so. He was shot in the eye by another insurgent with an AK-47. The bullet exited the back of his head about three inches behind his ear. He was initially knocked unconscious but came to, continued to fight and then, despite the severity of his wound, walked to the evacuation helicopter. He was eventually taken to Landstuhl military hospital in Germany. As is the custom of Navy SEALs, he was accompanied by one of his comrades, Petty Officer Second class McLean Swink."

Stephen Chow and the XXX man

Guess the interviewer's race? What country? You will be surprised. This is basically a white trash I can say. And he sucks at the art of interview.

Stephen kept his cool, and waited to strike...after tricking that ignorant guy to punch "slower"...

I can imagine if that's Bruce Lee being interviewed and have this situation came up. He will probably just kick the shit out of these people.

But Stephen, shown with great restraint even when you can see his pain during the interview(torture), was humorous throughout the interview, especially with that "chicken" style remark. Watch it. Part 1 is in youtube as well...and he got a jab at that guy after he mock Stephen's language (4:50).

Joshua Bell and the Washington Metro
Joshua Bell, one of the best virtuoso violinist in the world. Playing fiddler in Washington's metro. What will happen?

Wanna see how much he can get from the "begging"? Read it. Provided with GREAT music clip as well...

"There was no ethnic or demographic pattern to distinguish the people who stayed to watch Bell, or the ones who gave money, from that vast majority who hurried on past, unheeding. Whites, blacks and Asians, young and old, men and women, were represented in all three groups. But the behavior of one demographic remained absolutely consistent. Every single time a child walked past, he or she tried to stop and watch. And every single time, a parent scooted the kid away."

Global Warming - Who Loses - and Who Wins?
I've uploaded a great article I've read today.

Check out what they say about Hong Kong in 100 years.

And Canada, O Canada. You will be so rich.

Basically the article talks about the effect of economic changes induced by global climate changes. Huge sums will be made and lost if the global climate changes. Everyone wonders what warming might do to the environment—but those around the pole (N/S) may be winning, while those along the equator are screwed. Royally.

And Russia and Canada will win. Big time. In Mother Russia, Global warming drives you!

Clearing the air...me HKSAR government!? What!?
On my recent trip back to Hong Kong, the air smells like shxt, and my immune system declared war on myself because of all the dirty crap I kept pulling in every time I breathe.

I guess there are no excuses for the HKSAR government...with the near-monopoly on power generation in HK, they are just hopeless...53% of the pollution are from HK itself! Don't blame China every single time FFS!

Well, you don't wanna go against the 9th richest man in the world would you?

Yeah right...

Fishball 101
I teach you demand and supply in a HK way.

Its funny and strangely easy to absorb...best spoon-fed I've ever seen.

If you don't know Chinese, just answer the question: If a bowl of fishballs of 6 cost 20bucks, a bowl of cowballs of 6 cost 20bucks, and a bowl of mixed balls(3 fishballs, 3 cowballs) cost 22bucks, What is the cheapest way to maximize utility and minimize cost with a group of 2?

I don't know wtf I am talking about, that guy is brilliant! (He is getting like at least US 250K a year for teaching you how to get the most balls in a HK way ...)
